Can I sell the maps I make?
Yes! The maps you generate are 100% yours. You can print them, sell them on Etsy, or use them in commercial client projects without paying us any royalties.
What resolution do they export at?
Our engine composites the maps at 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch), which is the global standard for high-quality physical printing. They look incredibly crisp even blown up on large posters.
Do I need a Mapbox or GIS API key?
No. Grid & Ink is powered by free, open-source cartography. You do not need any developer keys, coding knowledge, or expensive enterprise licenses.
Is it really free?
The core studio and high-res exports are completely free. In the future, we may add optional "Pro" features (like bulk-exporting or ultra-massive 8K canvas sizes), but the core tool will remain free.
